Our biggest obsession lately is with our kittens! We adopted one of the Birks' kittens, Fitz, last March. And this February, she had 4 kittens. We have named them Marjorie, Frankie, Vader, and Squeaker. The kids LOVE playing with them! Theyre so curious and so cuddly. And they are surviving Ted's "love" remarkably well.
Spencer took Beth, Philip, and Summer to Florida last month to see "Harry Potter World" at Universal. They LOVED it! They had fun on the rides, seeing the shops at Diagon Alley, eating yummy treats (Butterbeer!), and seeing Hogwarts. The low point was probably when Summer started to get scared, so they tried to find something less intense. They ended up on Crusty the Clown's (from Simpson"s) ride. It was waaayyyy creepier than anything in Harry Potter!
They also had a fun (rainy) day at the beach, a fun (rainy) hike, and a fun (rainy) visit to the temple (welcome to Florida, I guess!). 
While they were gone, Ted and I went for our own wild ride on Scheel's ferris wheel.
Just a couple other random things...Philip had his Book 2 guitar recital last week. He played the songs beautifully and we were really proud!
Beth has become the "next-generation-Slooney" so she is really proud. (Bring back memories, anyone?) 
And finally, Spencer's co-workers posted these pictures on his office door bc he thinks he looks like Matthew McConaughey. So he is really proud :)

Teddy looks SO old!! And adorable! And what a FUN trip to Florida!! I love how your kids didn't let the rain stop them--they just kept playing! Spencer really does look like Matthew McConaughey! I think he should come back to Austin and meet his twin. Can't wait to meet the kittens this summer!
ReplyDeleteThe kittens are so cute! I wish they wouldn't grow until we get there and can see them. But then my kids would want (demand) one so never mind. The Florida pics are so cute. What a fun trip and fun dad! Spencer should take the MM think and run with it. Adam is convinced everyone in China thinks he looks like Chris Hemsworth so that's why they ask for pictures with him ;)
